Philips Procurement Project and Sourcing Manager (m/f/d) in Böblingen, Germany
In this role, you have the opportunity to
Drive procurement strategy from product development to market launch, ensuring supplier involvement, cost targets, and sourcing timelines while leading improvement projects to enhance savings, margin, and revenue.
Your role:
Drive strategic procurement initiatives by partnering with Research & Development, Product Management, and suppliers to support new product development, sourcing, and product sustainability.
Ensure early supplier involvement during product development and launch phases, meeting Bill of Material cost targets and ensuring on-time, on-plan sourcing.
Lead procurement improvement projects to enhance cost efficiency, drive design-to-cost strategies, and execute cost reduction programs, boosting Business Unit quality, delivery, and cost performance.
Manage supplier sourcing and onboarding in alignment with global procurement category strategy, conducting Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ), while tracking material cost and timeline progress.
Oversee procurement project execution by planning, organizing, and reporting on assigned scopes, driving performance improvements, and leveraging the global procurement network for added value.
You are a part of
A dynamic and ambitious global Hospital Patient Monitoring (HPM) team of Procurement Professionals in strong collaboration with key stakeholders within own team, the BU’s, markets, Product Sourcing, R&D, Supplier Quality, Legal and Operations.
You will represent procurement during the product development phase until “Go to Market”, supporting the organization by driving early supplier involvement, meeting bill of material cost targets and sourcing timelines. You will be accountable for ideation and driving procurement improvement projects, boosting the Business Unit QD&C performance. Professionalization of the processes and co-operation models in relation to the Business Unit is also an aspect of the challenge.
You're the right fit if:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant domain (business, procurement, economics, etc)
Minimum 5 years of procurement and/or commercial experience
Experience in a production environment (Medical/FDA and/or EU-MDR regulated preferred)
Solid program management skills to drive category related strategic objectives from end to end
Strong business acumen and oriented towards results/results oriented
Can-do attitude and willingness to work under high pressure to deliver impact
Strong stakeholder and communication skills
Fluency in English (fluency in German and Spanish are a plus)

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. There will be a travel percentage of round about 20%.
