Philips Product Industrialization Engineer – Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) (m/f/d) in Böblingen, Germany
As a Product Industrialization Engineer specializing in PCB technologies, you play a key role in introducing new PCB components into production. Your work directly impacts product quality and process efficiency in the field of printed circuit board manufacturing.
Your role:
Industrialization of PCB technologies and related services, including implementation of specifications and changes at suppliers, as well as process optimizations and quality assurance
Serve as an expert for PCB technologies and manufacturing processes for internal partners (especially R&D), focusing on technical consulting for design, material selection, and manufacturing methods
Close collaboration with suppliers and R&D teams to optimize PCB designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost efficiency, considering manufacturing capabilities and production facilities (Design for Manufacturing)
Ensure product quality and delivery capability through proactive analysis and problem-solving in the PCB production process, including addressing technical challenges and material discontinuations with external partners
Qualification and integration of new PCB suppliers or production sites
Great, if you have the following:
Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or a related field of study
Several years of professional working experience in PCB manufacturing and design
Comprehensive, general technical understanding and a strong interest in technical issues
Good understanding of PCB manufacturing processes and technologies
Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability)
Expertise in quality control and production troubleshooting throughout the entire manufacturing process, including testing and validation (such as 8D, FMEA, and APQP)
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities
Team spirit, excellent communication skills and good problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges
Very good English language skills, German language skills are beneficial
