Philips ME Technician in Colorado Springs, Colorado

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician maintains an inventory of qualified fixtures/tools and executes improvement projects to help achieve manufacturing productivity, yield targets, and ergonomic improvements. This role is part of a strong manufacturing engineering team supporting a world-class production facility that produces Class II/ III catheter devices. The primary focus will be on driving improvement, maintenance, availability, and qualification (IQ) of fixtures and tools.

Your role:

  • Purchasing off the shelf tools and machined fixtures, collaborating with buyers and vendors for these items

  • Performs qualification activities (IQ) for fixtures and equipment including report completion and submission in PLM system

  • Assisting with troubleshooting and evaluating product performance, equipment and system malfunctions as needed

  • Aiding in or owning the creation or update of Work Instructions and Manufacturing Process Instructions

  • Supporting preventive and corrective maintenance for production tools and equipment

You're the right fit if:

  • Associate’s degree in technical field (Engineering preferred)

  • 3+ total years’ experience in a technician role in a highly regulated industry (medical devices or pharmaceutical strongly preferred)

  • Experience using tools such as: hand tools, power tools, machine shop tools, and automated assembly equipment, calipers, micrometer, CMM, multimeters, microscopes, gauge pins, etc.

  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams), PLM software (Windchill preferred), solid modeling and drawing (SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM experience strongly preferred)

  • Experience working in cleanroom or other controlled environments

  • Strong organizational abilities including basic project management and knowledge of 6S

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in CO is $27.58-$44.13 an hour.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
