Philips Maintenance Engineer OT/IT - Philips - Drachten in Drachten, Netherlands

As the Manufacturing IT Department, we are responsible for the IT/OT solutions within the production. In Drachten we have our own production network where all machines are connected. Our department consists of a Software Development Group, a Data Science Group, Service-Infra and Service-Machine Group

For the IT-Service -Infra and Service-Machine we are looking for an Maintenance Engineer OT/IT whose main responsibility is delivering IT/OT service (24/7) to all infrastructure, applications and production machine SW in the production facility Drachten, making sure the production machines, infrastructure of M-IT is running and up-to-date and making sure the security of our IT/OT factory system is on an industry standard level.

As an Maintenance Engineer OT/IT you:

  • Start as Cooperating foreman with the MIT Service & Infra group to learn all facets of their activities.

  • Make sure the service is delivered 24/7 towards the M-IT landscape which consists of both hard- and software support.

  • In a later stadium you learn all the activities of the SSF (Software Service Factory) group, who is responsible for the software in the production machines of the Drachten factory.

  • Lead the MIT service/infra and SSF group from March 2026 onwards

  • Monitor, measure, report, review current performance of services and components, and act when we are outside the requirements.

  • Serve as point of escalation, review and approval for key issues and decisions.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following Education and skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience (More then 5 year experience)

Technical:

  • Knowledge of Window PC’s (2000, XP, 7, 10, 11)

  • Hardware interfacing production machines.

  • Knowledge with Backup & Replication (Veeam)

  • Knowledge with databases (MS SQL, Oracle, MongoDB)

  • Basic knowledge of Microservices (preferably K8S and Rancher)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager and System Center Operations Center

  • Basic knowledge of scripting (PowerShell)

  • Knowledge of plc’s, controllers, vision motion production machines

  • Responsible for steering a group of service people OT/IT

  • Ensure that production continues to operate

Soft Skills:

  • You have excellent analytical skills.

  • Takes ownership and responsibility, has an “improvement mind-set”

  • Team Player and good in communication with customer

  • Excellent verbal and written communication in Dutch and English.

  • Able to handle escalations
