Job Information

Philips Intern Communications and Community Building in Eindhoven, Netherlands

Duration: 6 months (with possibility to extend)

Location: Eindhoven

Contract: min. 24h/week,

Your role:

This position provides a unique opportunity to experience the role of communication,

community and events specialist within our Philips Innovation Center Eindhoven – High Tech

Campus, a large multidisciplinary environment.

Topics you work on are hands-on, and include connecting with stakeholders, assessing the

needs of the community, and implementing a structured project management approach to

ensure consistent and impactful execution. You will assist in organizing events with a focus

on community building and sparking innovation like presentations, networking sessions, an

annual open day and many others. You will support documenting takeaways from events and

evaluating their impact with input from attendees, as well as content management and

SharePoint infrastructure maintenance.

You will learn both hard and soft skills like planning and organization, project management,

stakeholder management, time management, critical thinking, and of course, communication.

Next to that, you will be part of the team, and participate in non-project related team

meetings and activities to make the team high performing.

You are the right fit if:

An excellent academic track record in Bachelor or HBO in Communication Science,

Marketing, International Business, Innovation Management, or comparable.

  • A genuine interest in community building, knowledge management, and project

management, in a technology or engineering environment.

  • Strong, pro-active and open-minded team player who can work with various

nationalities and cultures, and can easily make connections.

  • Ability to work accurately and independently. An eye for detail.

  • Experience, or willingness to learn, SharePoint, Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Fluency in written and spoken English

  • Availability for 3-5 days per week on site at our offices at the High Tech Campus in

Eindhoven (exceptions evaluated on a case-by-case basis).

In return, we offer you

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on your education

level. Part-time internships receive the allowance pro-rata.

  • Housing compensation. Should you need to relocate to near our Eindhoven offices,

we’ll offer you a monthly allowance of €255,-. To be eligible, we’ll just ask for the

rental contract from your landlord, and your usual home-work travel distance needs to

be more than 50 km or 1.5 hours of travel time (for a one way trip).

  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will

receive max. €192,- net as a monthly allowance.

  • Paid holidays per internship term.
