Time: 40 hours/week

Your role:

Learn and develop yourself by being part of a professional team that has a central position in the organization. It enables you to learn all about the company and gain professional hands-on working experience in the field of Communications.

You will learn about several areas of communication because you are part of the integrated Communications & Brand team of Royal Philips in the Benelux. In this role, you will create content for the internal communications strategy focused on engagement and creative content for the 10,000 Philips Benelux employees. You will support External Relations in PR and thought leadership projects to enhance brand awareness. And you will help managing and improving our internal and external communication channels.

The Communications & Brand team, which is a dynamic and diverse team with many different disciplines, such as: PR, internal communications, brand, content, sponsoring, campaign management and events. This internship fulfills a central role in the department and is therefore a great place to get to know the diverse challenges and opportunities a global organization deals with daily within their home market.

You are responsible for

  • Working on strengthening the reputation of Philips in the Benelux

  • Further improving engagement by identifying gaps in the current target audiences and communications structure, internally and externally

  • Analyze current performance based on KPIs and Daily Management practices. As well as providing valuable recommendations based on identified trends.

  • Creating content for internal and external communication channels.

You're the right fit if:

  • Currently studying towards your HBO (Bachelor) or WO (Bachelor of science/Master of science) in: Communications or Media;

  • Excellent oral and verbal communication skills; Fluent in both Dutch & English is needed

  • Capable of strict planning, working on and initiating multiple projects in parallel while maintaining a high standard;

  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement and positive change;

  • Ability to work accurately and independently;

  • Eager to learn.

In return, we offer you

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.

  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €145,- net

  • Paid holidays per internship term.

  • The opportunity to buy Philips equipment at our Philips shop

IMPORTANT:

  • Part of our selection procedure is a HireVue online interview recording. We are not able to share the outcome of this HireVue interview but will use this as extra selection criteria.

  • In order to be considered, you have to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation will be requested. Students from outside the EU enrolled at a Dutch university need to fill in a NUFFIC agreement – which needs to be signed by the student and the university.

  • Please note that the contents of our regular internship assignments are not suitable for professionals (and/or MBA students) with professional work experience.
