Philips Indirect Tax Processes Manager in Lodz, Poland

As the Indirect Tax Processes Manager , you will take on a project-centric role that requires a proactive and hands-on approach, serving as a vital link between business stakeholders and the IT department. You will join a dynamic tax team spread across various regions, contributing to its passion and enthusiasm while enhancing your skills. Your role:

As Indirect Tax Process Manager, you will be part of Group Tax department. Depending on the complexity of the project you will work with a cross-functional team (Supply Chain, Procurement) or with Indirect Tax Operations.

You will report to Head of Indirect Tax Processes located in the Netherlands.

  • Project Leadership:

  • Lead and manage projects related to indirect tax processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results (e.g. e-invoicing implementation).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes in tax processes, systems, or compliance requirements.

  • Process Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities for streamlining and improving indirect tax processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Implement best practices to optimize workflows and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Serve as a liaison between the tax department and various business units, fostering effective communication and understanding of tax-related needs.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Training and Development:

  • Provide training to internal teams on indirect tax processes, ensuring awareness and adherence to compliance standards.

  • Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of indirect tax processes and procedures.

  • Technology Integration:

  • Work closely with IT teams to implement and enhance tax technology solutions for automation and efficiency.

  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies that can improve the indirect tax process.

You're the right fit if you have the following skills and experience:

  • At least 7 years of progressive work experience in area of Indirect tax, preferably in tax projects/tax technology.

  • Project Management skills with positive result driven attitude.

  • A university degree in Tax/Finance is required.

  • SAP knowledge is essential

  • Fluent communication skills in English (both oral and written) is required.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and organize workload, multi-task is essential.

  • Experience in implementing e-invoicing is a plus.

  • Vertex, ONESOURCE experience is a plus.

  • Effective in influencing and collaborating (courageous discussions) with colleagues from various disciplines and cultures.

  • Highly developed analytical capabilities, with a strong business and customer sense

  • Possessing highly developed interpersonal skills and effective listening and communication abilities, both team-oriented and process-driven.

  • Having a proactive, hands-on, and goal-oriented approach with a structured working style and keen eye for detail and hidden risks, enabling to drive process changes that align organizations with harmonized workflows and legal requirements.
