Philips Bilingual Proposals Manager - Health Systems (Mississauga, Office-Based) in Mississauga, Ontario
As Bid Manager you are responsible to develop, maintain and manage the opportunity development and proposal strategy to secure the commercial offer is developed and released in time, on budget and with all necessary reviews and authorizations in place.
Your role:
Managing the proposal lifecycle autonomously, from bid search, project kick-off, response development/writing through iterative drafts to submission, up to facilitating communication for post-proposal activities. You will be accountable for assembling a team of SMEs (from sales, marketing, IT, contracts, senior leadership, etc.) and leading them through the development of the winning strategy.
Owning the direct development of the proposal structure and content, utilizing existing resources and creating customized content to support the agreed-upon strategy.
Maintaining all related documents, schedules, project calls and meetings, and recognizing signs of project/proposal risk and proactively addressing them.
Coordinating with production to have the final documents assembled, signed, and delivered.
Conducting compliance, quality, and competitive reviews.
Identify and execute on opportunities for improvement within Philips’ continuous improvement framework, utilizing Lean methodologies.
You're the right fit if:
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business, Marketing, or a Liberal Arts field, particularly English.
3+ years of proposal management or relevant experience.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as demonstrated by proposals and presentations of uncommon quality and persuasiveness.
Strong influencing skills to diplomatically manage the response team through the sales strategy, document quality, and regulatory compliance of each proposal.
PMP, CAPM, and/or APMP Foundation-level certification is preferred.
Bilingual French and English skills, both written and verbal, are required. French is promoted internally, but English is essential for our global business. The candidate may report to a manager outside Quebec and/or interact with colleagues and partners in other provinces and countries. English is needed for communication, training, and support nationally and globally. Philips offers French and English language training, aiming for fluency in both.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position is $74,411 to $116,932. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
