E-Commerce & Marketplace Development Lead, Personal Health JAPAC
The E-Commerce & Marketplace Development Lead enables and delivers the business performance for all E-Commerce platforms in the JAPAC zone. In a cross-functional team of direct reports, business partners and international teams, the role enables and drives excellence in execution in key E-commerce platforms across the zone and Commercial Unlocks. E-Commerce & Marketplace Development Lead builds 3Y customer Joint Business Plan with key E-Commerce retailers, defines the annual financial plan and develops marketplace go-to-market strategy for JAPAC.
Your Role
Strategic Planning and Execution:
Develop and implement a 3-year Joint Business Plan with top E-Commerce retailers focused on collaborative growth and strategic partnerships.
Define and manage the annual financial plan to achieve revenue targets and optimize investment on E-Commerce platforms.
Establish and refine the go-to-market strategy for marketplaces including third-party selling, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Lead a cross-functional team to drive project execution, ensuring integration and synergy between sales, marketing, IT, and operational functions.
Manage direct reports and business partners in executing E-Commerce strategies that align with the company’s vision and market needs.
Coordinate with international teams to leverage global insights and best practices, adapting them for local implementation.
Marketplace Management:
Oversee the operational and strategic aspects of marketplace (third-party) selling, including seller relationship management, product listings, customer service, and logistics.
Enhance platform visibility and seller ratings through optimized listings, improved marketing techniques, and superior product offerings.
Data and Analytics:
Utilize data analytics to monitor performance metrics across E-Commerce platforms and marketplaces, using insights to drive business decisions and strategic adjustments.
Develop and oversee the implementation of tech and tool requirements necessary for effective marketplace management and analytics capabilities.
Innovation and Growth:
Identify and capitalize on new opportunities for expansion and improvement across E-Commerce platforms.
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements to continually enhance the E-Commerce and marketplace strategies.
You are a part of
Personal Health JAPAC Commercial team and Global Sales Center of Excellence team with dual reporting line.
You're likely the right fit if you possess
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in e-commerce and marketplace management, preferably within the JAPAC region. Experience in China is a plus
Demonstrated success in developing and executing GTM strategies for online retail and third-party selling platforms.
Experience in building and managing Joint Business Plans with major e-commerce retailers.
Familiarity with the e-commerce landscape, consumer behaviour, and digital marketing trends in JAPAC.
Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, marketplace dynamics, and digital sales channels.
Proficiency in data analysis, financial modelling, and budget management1.
Knowledge of e-commerce enabling technologies, including CRM, CMS, ERP, and analytics tools.
Experience with digital marketing tools and techniques, SEO/SEM, and social media marketing.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced and evolving market landscape.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
