Philips Proposal Developer in San Diego, California
In late January, we announced that Bridgefield Capital signed an agreement to acquire Philips’ Emergency Care business which includes leading brands and products like HeartStart AEDs, Intrepid and DFM100 monitor defibrillators, Tempus monitor and Tempus ALS systems, and Corsium and ECI informatics solutions. We expect the transaction to close at the end of 2025.

As a proposal developer, you will collaborate with proposal managers, sales teams, and key stakeholders to develop customer-facing content for RFP (Request for Proposal), RFQ (Request for Quote), and RFI (Request for Information). Your responsibilities include drafting initial responses, finalizing proposals, conducting quality analysis on proposal KPIs, and maintaining a database of standard Q&A pairings. In summary, you play a crucial role in creating persuasive and compliant proposal documents, working with cross-functional teams, and managing the proposal lifecycle to help secure new business opportunities.
Your role:
Proposal Development and Strategy: Complete initial drafts of responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring content meets customer specifications. Develop and maintain opportunity development and proposal strategy. Accountable for proposal narrative and structure, working with subject-matter experts and vendors to create compelling content and ensure the delivery of winning proposals.
Communication, Integration, and Management: Identify key win-themes, address pain points, and refine strategies to highlight the company’s strengths. Edit and revise proposals based on feedback from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and sales teams, ensuring technical accuracy and strategic messaging. Lead the team through collaborative opportunity and proposal development, maintaining documents, schedule, running project calls, and managing internal authorizations to drive timely submissions.
Consistency, Compliance, and Quality Assurance: Maintain a comprehensive database of standard questions and answers for proposals to streamline development and ensure consistency. Ensure proposals adhere to branding and compliance policies, maintaining consistent quality and brand integrity. Conduct compliance, quality, and competitive reviews to present best-in-class proposals showcasing Philips’ strengths and innovative solutions. Scope bid team resources, manage bid budget, control progress, evaluate change requests, and report to stakeholders while tracking resources and budget deviations.
You're the right fit if:
You’ve acquired 3+ years of professional proposal writing, marketing, journalism, content writing, public relations, editing, technical writing, or related field experience. Previous proposal writing experience is especially valuable.
Your skills include exceptional writing experience with proficiency in MS Office (required), Saleforce.com (SFDC), and similar tools, with the ability to learn quickly. Ability to create an inspiring experience with positive results through business acumen, creativity, and drive.
You have a Bachelor’s degree (required), ideally in English, Marketing, Business or related field.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in AZ, AR, ID, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MS, MO, NE, NM, OK, SC, SD, TN, UT, or WV is $82,000 to $129,000 per year.
The pay range for this position in AL, CO, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, ND, OH, PA, TX, VT, VA, WI or WY is $86,0000 to $136,000 per year.
The pay range for this position in AK, HI, MD, RI, or WA is $90,000 to $143,000 per year.
The pay range for this position in CT, DC, MA, NJ, or NY is $96,000 to $153,000 per year.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives, may be offered.
