Philips Regional Operational Excellence Manager - S&RC in Shenzhen, China
Your Role:
This Operational Excellence Manager - ISC S&RC (Integrated Supply Chain Sleep & Respiratory Care) will drive performance improvements activities and programs towards achieving substantial impact on business results, people’s development, and on delivering operational excellence to our customers. This role is motivated by working with people in all levels of the organization, driving change, and has a strong passion in implementing a culture of continuous improvement.
In this role, you are responsible for:
Use data to identify opportunities for productivity across the integrated supply chain.
Collaborate with leaders across the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) global team to support the implementation of key projects.
Collaborate with leaders in the region to identify opportunities supportive of their strategic plan.
Lead the deployment of the Integrated Supply Chain strategic planning across all the sub-functions (Factories, Warehouse and Distribution, Engineering, Planning and others).
Facilitate and/or deliver training for global teams or specific departments about lean practices and tools such as Daily Management, Problem Solving, Hoshin Planning and Value Stream Mapping.
Facilitate process mapping / value stream mapping sessions to guide teams into designing a better future state for processes across areas such as manufacturing, warehouse and distribution, and planning, including an end-to-end view.
Develop a culture of problem solving via training, coaching, and challenging decisions in the proper forums.
Partner with our Integrated Warehouse and Distribution team in the region and globally to identify opportunities for substantial change and support the team throughout implementation.
Introduce efficient ways of working via exploring automated and digital solutions while collaborating with global data analytics and operational excellence teams at Philips.
Support the development of a global operational excellence (OpEx) network for ISC SRC, supporting and partnering with the OpEx team members across the globe.
Support the implementation and maintenance of continuous improvement tools in different areas of the business while capacitating team members to take the lead.
Support execution of OpEx Assessment in the organization in determining Operational Excellence Maturity and developing action plans.- Partner with data analysts to develop models with the goal to identify key areas of improvement and develop proposals including benefits, risks, and ROI to achieve leadership buy-in.
Support ISC leaders to maintain operational mechanisms including preparation for monthly performance reviews and daily management meetings, and maintaining general KPI dashboards.
You're the right fit if you have a customer-first attitude, motivation for change, and the following:
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Engineering, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Management)
5 + years of experience in Manufacturing / Logistics / Supply Chain Management.
Experience with data driven decisions and use of data analytics and modeling.
Ability to deliver accurate, analytical, and process driven way of working; comfortable analyzing and interpreting large data sets, shaping analytical toolsets, and translating into business cases.
Experience coaching team outside factories (support areas, planning, logistics, etc.) to develop problem solving skills
Green Belt Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Advanced certified. Black Belt preferred.
PMP certification is highly preferred
Proven experience focusing on productivity savings identification, planning and execution, and End2End view of value chain efficiency and effectiveness
Experience in the medical devices industry preferred.
In-depth experience in the Health Systems industry, order fulfillment and supply chain operations (e.g., distribution, fulfillment, demand planning, inventory management)
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
