Philips System Verification Engineer in Suzhou, China

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Ensure product design output consistent with the design input, and is committed to continuously improve the quality of products through systematic verification.

You are responsible for

  • Participate to review product/platform System Software Requirement Spec, System Software Design Spec/Product Design Spec etc. Estimate requirement testability and sufficiency

  • Responsible for the planning, coordination and tracking of the Design Verification activities, including but not limited to design verification plan, specifications, test cases, testing result and report, defects record and tracking.

  • Responsible for establishing the entry and exit criteria for Design Verification.

  • Responsible for ensuring verification evidence exists for all design input requirements, ensuring the design and risk assessment traceability matrix

  • Responsible for updating the Design Verification Plan based on the design change impacts as appropriate

  • Member of the Defect Management Team as of Release for Verification

  • Responsible for assessing the impact of design changes that occur to the Verification Baseline and updating the Design Verification Specification as appropriate including any regression tests

You are a part of

A progressive and energetic team that contributes directly to the growth of the business. You have a direct reporting line to the GRC System and Software Manager .

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s or above Degree in Engineering, the better major in biomedical engineering, electronic engineering or computer science.

  • At least 5 years’ experience in design verification related position.

  • Medical products’ experience is much preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with different functions, e.g. System, Physics, SW, etc.

  • Knowledge of the V-model development cycle and preferred agile testing methodology.

  • Knowledge of hardware, software and testing theory.

  • Preferred to have automation test knowledge.

  • Good knowledge of the English language (both written and verbal)

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.

Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
